Hailey Van Cott
HR Coordinator

I am currently a fourth-year student in Stony Brook University’s Honors College, and I am working towards a double Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, French, and Literature. My anticipated graduation is May 2025. Over the last few years, I have had a variety of work experiences. I was an Outreach Intern at Stony Brook Child Care, and my primary responsibility was to direct a fundraising project with multiple organizations. During my internship, I successfully organized and led team meetings. Over the last few years, I have held various roles at Stony Brook University, including Teacher Assistant, Big Sibling Peer Mentor, and Orientation Leader. In these roles, I worked closely with new students to help them acclimate to their new environment and educate them about campus resources. I led orientation tours, held Question and Answer sessions for touring families, and helped incoming students learn about on-campus resources. I have also worked as a Sales Associate at Pacific Sunwear. As a Sales Associate, I trained new hires and assisted with store operations. In addition, I enjoy tutoring non-native English speakers. This role enables me to help my students by creating personalized lesson plans, leading conversation practice, and introducing them to new topics.

I started working with Compass Workforce Solutions as an HR Intern in May 2024, and moved on to an HR Coordinator role in August 2024.  I am looking forward to continuing to gain more knowledge and experience in Human Resources and helping Compass Workforce Solutions clients with their Human Resources needs.
