Kelly Herrera is a dedicated Human Resources professional with three years of experience in various sectors, including corporate and non-profit. She currently serves as Human Resources Generalist II and is in the process of earning her SHRM-CP certification. Kelly holds an AA in Psychology from Suffolk County Community College and a BA in Psychology from SUNY College at Old Westbury.
Throughout her career, Kelly has built expertise in leave of absence management, onboarding, benefits administration (including group benefits, retirement plans, and Open Enrollment), HRIS system implementation, recruiting, and employee policies and procedures. She is passionate about leveraging HR strategies to streamline processes, enhance employee experience, and support organizational growth.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, reading, and spending quality time with her family, her kitten Kimchi, and her dog Dexter.
