Julia is a senior multilingual HR leader with more than 13 years of experience in human resources and organizational consulting across the real estate, government, and nonprofit sectors. Throughout her career, she has led the full spectrum of HR functions, partnering with leaders to develop people strategies that strengthen organizations and foster positive employee experiences.

Her expertise includes employee relations, workplace investigations, regulatory compliance, talent acquisition, performance management, leadership coaching, sexual harassment prevention training, employee engagement, and change management. Julia has built HR programs and processes from the ground up, including applicant tracking systems, performance management programs, structured onboarding, and talent acquisition processes that improve consistency, efficiency, and the employee experience.

Before joining Compass, Julia served as Head of Talent for a real estate investment firm and held senior HR leadership roles leading employee and labor relations and overseeing talent acquisition for large and mid-sized nonprofit organizations. As a servant leader, Julia is committed to creating an environment where managers and employees feel supported and empowered. She enjoys helping leaders navigate complex workplace issues, understand employment law and organizational risk, and build the confidence to lead their teams effectively. She is equally passionate about designing and delivering manager training that equips leaders with practical skills while fostering a culture of compliance, accountability, and respect.

Julia believes effective HR begins with understanding the business and building trusted relationships. She enjoys creating practical, business-focused solutions that help organizations grow, support their people, and navigate change.

Julia earned her MBA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a master’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy from the CUNY Graduate Center, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Hunter College. She is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and holds a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Cornell University. Her academic experience also includes graduate-level study abroad programs in Comparative Policy Analysis at Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany, and International Business in Costa Rica.

Outside of work, Julia enjoys Zumba fitness, learning foreign languages, and traveling.
